6 Things People Need To Stop Doing

Two Sparrows Sitting
A post written in good humour awaits. But first things first. Let me start today's post with a fact. As of now, there are 7.7 billion human beings on this planet. Out of those 7.7 billion people, a person is likely to meet 80,000 people on an average. But only a small percentage of 80,000 people are much more than enough to teach you things that you won't learn otherwise.

So here is a list of things that people do, that they should stop doing.

1. Giving others a silent treatment- I get it when you get annoyed by someone's behaviour. But there is no way others should be able to figure out the exact reason for your annoyance. So here's the revelation that you have been waiting for: You need to tell them about what makes you upset and what doesn't. The “why should I tell you? You should have known already” isn't taking anybody anywhere any time soon. Communicate, maybe?

2. Taking everything personally- How much of education did it take for us to know that the centre of this universe isn't any of us? Primary school. Never forget all that you have studied in school.

Some statements are made randomly. Unless you are named, there are low chances that those statements are about you. Maybe. Or maybe not. And even if they are, how much should that even matter to you?

3. Overthinking- Honestly? I am not the right person to preach against this. I am no saint in this case. But hey, don't overthink, okay? If something has really low chances of ever happening, it might as well never happen. Adding this section in my mental note-to-self. Moving on.

4. Investing time and energy at all the wrong places- On a serious note, here is what you absolutely need to know. Spending your time and energy on people who pull you down is going to cost you big time. So will spending your time and energy on things that do not bring you closer to where you want to be. So, if you are not able to be where you want to be, see where you are investing yourself into.

5. Knowing when you need to take a break- Because no job is done if you die of fatigue in the middle of nothing. There is no reason why you should be burning yourself over and again for things that deplete you of everything and still demand more from you.

6. Being aggressive online- The amount of hate I see online, thankfully none of them being directed to me, but unfortunately to many others, is huge. But honestly, the remorse comes secondary to me.

Have you ever seen hatred online? It's a bunch of comments made to personally attack people. And it is hilarious. So, people. If you are showing your slang vocabulary online, let me tell you something you haven't thought of. You are not more than a 10-second entertainment material to someone somewhere, who couldn't care less about your personal views on anything.

The list does end here. But are these the only things that people need to stop doing? No? Let me know all that you think in the comment box.
