7 Lies We Come Across Online

Image
Person Tying On A Laptop A few days ago, we had discussed on here about how there are so many lies that we say, that are so common! But let us now consider the fact that we are surrounded by technology and a lot of our time goes into interacting with people we have never met, and probably will never meet, which further lets out possibilities of being lied to to our heart's content. With all the lies that we say and hear online, let's surf through some of them! 1. I accept the Terms and Conditions- Spoiler alert: I didn't even read them. Basically, it can be translated to “Yeah, fine, whatever. Now get off my screen”. People accept it just because they have to to go on with their work, and if with all the advanced intelligence and everything, the internet thinks that the people aren't lying, I don't even know who to blame. 2. Those pictures that show everyone on social media having a life better than yours- Their pictures on the social...

6 Things People Need To Stop Doing

Image
Two Sparrows Sitting A post written in good humour awaits. But first things first. Let me start today's post with a fact. As of now, there are 7.7 billion human beings on this planet. Out of those 7.7 billion people, a person is likely to meet 80,000 people on an average. But only a small percentage of 80,000 people are much more than enough to teach you things that you won't learn otherwise. So here is a list of things that people do, that they should stop doing. 1. Giving others a silent treatment- I get it when you get annoyed by someone's behaviour. But there is no way others should be able to figure out the exact reason for your annoyance. So here's the revelation that you have been waiting for: You need to tell them about what makes you upset and what doesn't. The “why should I tell you? You should have known already” isn't taking anybody anywhere any time soon. Communicate, maybe? 2. Taking everything personally- How much o...

7 Lies We Have Heard And Said

Image
Two Women Chatting Lying has become excessively common, to a point we don't really care to get the difference between exaggeration and lies. While thinking about how the human brain has evolved to a point that it can convince another human brain to believe something that isn't true, here is a list in which I have included all the lies we say and hear too commonly to call them lies. 1. I am five minutes away- We know you aren't, because that can now be declared as the International Common Lie For Latecomers. There, I said it. Also, I like it even more(sarcasm intended) when some people take it a step further by saying, “I'll be there in two minutes.” The least you could do is stay realistic in your excuses. 2. There was too much traffic- Link to the previous excuse is this. And it is pronounced as “Oh, I sure was five minutes away but then there was too much traffic!” And people have no choice other than believing it. Sad. 3....

6 Qualities That We Need

Image
None of the incidents that are about to be mentioned is based on fictional characters and any resemblance to reality is purely intentional .  Kidding. Or maybe not. It's just one of those days when I have a lot to say. It's one of those days when I have seen too much of some really strange people and events. Misty Forest Being a part of a planet where people have so many perspectives of looking at things and so many ways of tackling situations, you are sure to meet people who have habits you really want to question. Conversely, let's say, all of us have habits that get on somebody's nerves. Let's check which of our habits need to be regulated. "...make sure that if all that you do gets back to you, you don't feel bad about it." 1. Forming queues- Since the very advent of civilization, considering ourselves as the most efficient beings on this planet, we created rules for ourselves. One such rule is to stand patiently in q...

For All That Matters

Puzzle pieces It's amazing how time has its ways of making us go through so many moments. The beautiful ones, the strange ones, the scaring ones, the ones that break us, and also the ones where we don't know what's going on. Add all these and that's our lives. It's also amazing how so many of those moments make us a different person. Is it for the good or bad? Well, doesn't it depend on how we decide to work with it? For a moment, let yourself to think. Is it not strange that it's not only the good moments bring the best out of us, but the bad ones might make us know more about ourselves by making us hit the rock bottom? Is it not strange that it's not the bad moments alone that can pull us down, but the over-the-top feelings we have after a good moment, the arrogance after a victory, the over-confidence after a success? Really strange it is. On further thoughts, I realise that it has to do with me, and not the good and the bad momen...
